dangling.

Woah.

Sorry for leaving you for nearly two weeks! I was tied up with moving, bestie getting married, and Thankgiving responsibilities, but that is all over now (successfully!). I'm back, people.

This is by far the coolest way I have seen of organizing jewelry, especially earings. I use wall-mounted knobs and hooks for necklaces, but earing organization has always alluded me. Considering that all of my jewelry is still in bags from the move (minus a few key pieces), I am on the hunt for something space-savvy and creative for my new walk-in closet/dressing area.

Antique printing drawers with hooks for earings?! Ummm...WANT.

mid century abode.

This would sort of rule in my new apartment. Want it bad. Although technically my building was built in the 1920s, I think something vintage inspired like this would go quite nicely.

PS: I have internet! It feels so good.

making a house a home.

Still no internet at my new place (long story) so I've been camping out at the man's house stealing his internet and whittling down the DVR recordings (three episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: donezo). Moving is hard, ya'll! I'm exhausted. Not to mention I started two new jobs in the middle of it all. Yeesh.

Considering the fact that I have no seating (or tables or anything on the walls or a microwave or toaster oven) in my new place yet, expect a lot of posts on shit that I want and need for my 1920s apartment. PS, anyone know how hard it is to find an extra long shower curtain that isn't hideous??! Really hard!

I'm on a quest for furniture that a. pleases me aesthetically, b. fits in my lil studio, and c. makes my wallet happy. This nightstand almost works. Wish it were a bit cheaper. May find something in this vein at the flea market.

I'll be sharing!

ack.

Sorry to get all Cathy comic on you, but that's the only way to express how I feel at present.

Blogging on hold for a few days whilst my internet, housing sitch, acting career, survival jobs, any semblance of a social life, and financial status need some major attention from me. I promise to return with an abundance of juicy things for you.

In the meantime, enjoy this photo.

Kisses.

flouncy flouncy.

Spotted this insanely adorable Diane von Furstenberg at The Grove Saturday. Holy cuteness. It's structural and completely feminine AND flattering on a lot of body types. I rarely wear strapless dresses because, let's face it, I have tiny boobs. I'd rock the crap out of this and so would my better-endowed friends. Trust.

If only it were on serious sale! Sigh. A girl can look...

hot ginge.

I wanna do my hair like this. Would it look as good with bangs and brown hair? Hmmm.

sparkly monday.

After a weekend full of bachelorette celebrations (all of which went off without a hitch and even better than expected!), I'm pooped. But one thing a weekend full of stylish girls can bring together is a variety of new ideas for us to add to our closets. One of my favorites of the weekend was my friend Lindsay's black sequin shorts, a MICHAEL Michael Kors version shown here.

How can this not instantly bring a party to life? So cute and festive. Maybe it'll be something I'll have to incorporate into my holiday party outfits.

skin boost.

A once-a-week mask is something I try to do religiously. Here are my tops.
The Origins Clear Improvement mask has been a staple of mine for about 12 years, no joke. I use it warmer months or when I feel like my skin needs a serious deep pore cleanse. It's pretty freaking genius, and I always have it in my bathroom cabinet. The charcoal acts as a little pore cleansing magnet. You'll freak anyone out who sees you with it on, but the after effects are worth it.

The Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Peel has natural pumpkin enzymes to gently nibble away at any dry skin and it literally leaves you feeling as fresh as the fruit in it. I prefer enzymes to really slough away any dead skin in THE MOST gentle way possible. There are a ton of products out there with natural enzymes (papaya, pineapple, etc.) so try a few that you like. This happens to be my favorite. No abrasion exfoliation. You'll want this for later in life. Let us avoid sagging jowls, shall we?

The Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask is just one that every girl should use. The celeb favorite Bliss Oxygen Facial from its New York spa comes in a bottle. What? I know. You'll love the tingly foam sensation and your skin will be glowing. That's right. Glowing. Pricey, I know. But do it. This little bottle goes a long way since the product foams once you apply it. Genius.

Get yourself some.

purrrrrr.

Want this Dries Van Noten-esque pull through faux leopard scarf. Bad. Think I'm going to head to the fabric store and make myself one. Project!

And shocker that this is part of the Mad Men for QVC collection. That show knows me so well!

Here's a Lord & Taylor version, too.

ready for my close up.

I *may* be moving into a new place soon (application acceptance in progress) which has spurned a whole lot of online furniture shopping and design blog perusing. I am just dying for a mirrored vanity table like this one where I can sit and put my face on. Vintage, glamorous, and functional. I want!
